5.0.1 Carriage of Goods by Sea, is a shipping law affecting the international shipping trade in general, and the vessel (ship) owners and charterers, in particular. The law of the carriage of goods by sea includes both substantive and procedural laws.
5.0.2 Definition of a vessel
A vessel is any description of craft, including non-displacement craft, WIG crafts and seaplanes, used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on waters.[1]
